With a degree in Dental Medicine from the Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Porto and a Master’s in Periodontology from the same institution, Dr. João Coimbra is a professional who seeks to combine his knowledge with permanent technical and technological developments in order to create the best possible results for his patients.

In 2017, receiving the acclaimed degree of Specialist in Periodontology by the Order of Dentists, he chose to practice exclusively in the area, never ceasing to pay attention to its development. Between 2017 and 2018 he completed Hurzeler/ Zuhr Curriculum in Periodontology and Implants at the Dental Education Institute in Munich, and in 2020, at the same institute, he conducted the first course on Immediate Implants with Partial Root Retention.

“The most interesting thing about Periodontology is the fact that we can work in detail to generate health, combining up-to-date knowledge about biology with the permanent technical and technological innovations that science is providing us with, which enhance our results and minimize the patient’s discomfort. It is an area in constant evolution that offers us possibilities as diverse as saving teeth that were once unviable, or restoring the normal contour of the soft tissues of the smile.
